"I am pleased that the Department of Transportation has awarded this grant to the Old Town Municipal Airport," said Michaud.  "This is a necessary safety measure that will improve the airport's safety and help with our regional economic development efforts."

The grant will provide funding for the reconstruction of the taxiway. The funds will primarily be used for re-pavement as the asphalt at the airport is considered to have exceeded its useful life and shows signs of deterioration.
