"I am pleased that the Department of Health and Human Services released this funding. The University of Maine continues to be a national leader in innovative projects," said Michaud. "This grant will enable UMaine to continue their cutting edge research." The National Institute of General Medical Sciences supports research that increases understanding of life processes and lays the foundation for advances in disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Their investigations focus on pharmacology, physiology and biological chemistry research. # # # |
